When I discovered a recent Y2K video focusing on Times Square, I hoped more footage of the 1999 countdown would be available, including part of 32 and 31, but no. It was the last 18 seconds of the countdown, however, more clear footage of what 8's spin looked like has been found, and it's clear spin is seen on the Alex H Countdowns Leader, which displays 10 seconds before beginning the real deal. I discovered the new spin by noticing the darker parts of the number 8, and the point where it fades in and turns.
