It was translated in Dutch, by Louis Schmidt ("Annemarie"). This is one of Herms Niel's biggest hits and it is actually still quite popular in Germany (it is best known as "Annemarie-Polka"). The recording uploaded here is The original version of the composition and it was made shortly before Niel became a bandmaster in the State Labour Service.
