This once-a-week parliamentary service is probably one of the most famous on Britain's railways. I decided to go and take a ride on it to make a video, and bring my friend Karl with me! For many years from 1992 onwards, the only service was the 09:22 Fridays only parliamentary train from Stockport to Stalybridge - this is the case when this was filmed in October 2016. In May 2018, Arriva Rail North replaced the Friday service with one return service on Saturday mornings only - departing Stalybridge at 0830, and then returns from Stockport at 0904 - operated by Northern Trains.
