[blogpost] Well, where do I even start here? There are so many things I want to say... This video is at least in part inspired by Umineko Rhapsody. Oh boy if only I could sing, you'd be listening it with my vocals, because I love this song so much. But one problem that I have is that I always have to sacrifice a favorite song every time I make a video with it. Have you ever listened to a song so much that you start to hate it? Yea well, it's something like that, but even worse. After first version of "Crucial Fracture" I had to wait 5 years before I could pick it up. With this one... I did my work in advance. I had this idea 3 years ago, and back then I wrote it all up and even laid some foundation, but I QUICKLY got overwhelmed with an 8 minute video project, so it stayed in limbo for a while. At that time, I made a fateful decision of fate to NOT to listen to Avenged Sevenfold for these years, so that I don't start hating this song prematurely. If you paid attention to my Community tab posts, THIS was the project I was hinting towards. An boy, I did not hint for nothing, I genuinely tried continuing several times, and failed every time... Well... it's been years, so my inspiration ran out. This happens. Until... Until I reread Umineko earlier this year. Despite knowing in advance pretty much everything that happens, it was still such a strong work, that it inevitably reignited the spark again, so I had to do my last bit of magic. So... "Crucial Fracture" remaster? That was just a warm-up. I needed to do this song justice, sure. But its purpose was mostly to remember how to work in AE again. The real deal deal was THIS project. Aaand I actually took a vacation to work on it, aaaand then I got sick two times and wasn't able to finish it one time... This is where The Ginger comes in. Thank you for saving me here! lul Without you, it's entirely possible this project wouldn't be completed at all. Or even if it was, it probably wouldn't be so damn funny. By the way, I think I am somewhat autistic because I get fixated on the smallest most irrelevant things ever, of which include the audio, which I spliced myself. Live version does something the album version doesn't, but otherwise is worse because the singer keeps forgetting the lyrics, LMAO. So I added a little live bit to the mix. If you can't tell where the difference is, it means I did a good job. Maybe the blogposting will continue in the comment section [/blogpost]
