When music is off, Minecraft can sound empty. So today, I'm trying my hand at making some ambient sounds (again) to see if I can create a pleasant atmosphere just through biome sounds. We'll also take a look at some Pokemobs stuff (name WIP) and create a partner skill for the polar bear. And finally we'll try out some of the variation that sound events can give us for those ambient noises. Extra Stuff: *Silent Secrets* - I lost some footage after my microphone stopped recording and it's probably better that way. I fiddled around with trying to create a command sorter (which didn't work), and I made a very boring randomizer for Pokemob (name WIP) to make extreme values more rare that didn't really work. Sometimes mistakes happen for a reason. 👆 *Polar Bear Aggro* - It's worth noting that /damage would have accomplished the same goal in one command, but I like how modifying the nbt removes the red damage overlay on the mob. It makes for a nicer looking experience. *Sound Event Files* - Inside sounds.json, sound events can actually reference other events not just files. So that means if we get a bird setup we like, we can slap that into a plains sound event file at a lower weight-to-silent-cod-sound ratio without having to redo all 160 sound variations. It also might mean we only need the stop sound for the appropriate bird sound event rather than each individual biome sound event, although I haven't tested that yet. Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
