How Important is a VA C&P Exam? VA C&P exams are critical because they determine if your condition should be linked to service and the extent of your symptoms. The exam is conducted by an independent physician and includes a physical exam, medical history review, symptom evaluation, and assessment of the effects of your condition on daily functioning.
