Dream of Loulan, the update is scheduled for release on March 6th, with the new story chapter becoming available on March 8th. To access this new narrative, players must first complete the Hong Yin school storyline. The expansion focuses on uncovering the secrets of a lost civilization buried beneath the sands. The narrative begins with a mysterious interaction where players touch an Apsara mural on a cave wall, transporting them hundreds of years into the past to the Loulan Palace. Accompanied by a character named Aranya, the journey involves exploring the city at the height of its prosperity, featuring camel markets and pigeon pavilions. The objective is to save the city from a devouring crisis and dispel the sand shadows, while facing threats from the Fire Worshipping Sect and the destructive Heavenly Fire. The update introduces distinct environmental features, including the Jiang Lai Ruins, which are modeled after salt lakes and feature Poplar forests submerged in water. A key visual element is the Sun and Moon Shining Together phenomenon. During this event, the desert landscape turns golden, flying Yadan rays float into the sky, and pagodas emit light to guide the way. New gameplay mechanics are centered around a special exploration item called the Shuo Guang Bell. This item provides Throw and Recall skills. Players must use these skills to interact with targets marked with Sun, Moon, or Double Light sigils to solve puzzles and engage enemies throughout the new map. The setting of Loulan is based on the real historical kingdom located in the northeast of the Taklamakan Desert, near the dried-up Lop Nur lake, known as the Sea of Death. Historically, this area was a vital oasis on the Silk Road around the 2nd Century BCE before it was swallowed by sandstorms, earning it the nickname the Pompeii of the East.
