Currently Playing: The Mystery of Bunge Land; The Desert Surrounded by the Arctic Ocean

Within the Arctic Circle is a several thousand square mile patch of sand just barely above sea level. It forms a vast desert like environment with sand dunes, but while also being host to potential polar bear habitat. Known as Bunge Land, it is the largest feature of its kind, although its origin is somewhat similar to how the Great Kobuk Sand Dunes formed in Alaska.
