A quick look at Elegon, the MMORPG I'm creating in Godot. Today I talk about the inventory system I've added to the game, as well as some DevOps improvments and playtest news! Very much inspired by Classic World of Warcraft. - Supported by subscriptions, not microtransactions. Elegon is an MMORPG that i'm creating as a solo developer. It's built using Godot and SpacetimeDB. I’m really happy to announce that the Elegon playtest is now live and playable on Steam! Thank you so much for your patience. I hope you enjoy following the development journey of Elegon even more now that there’s a playable version (that will receive updates!) you can jump into. I do want to give an important disclaimer: the primary purpose of this ongoing playtest is to monitor server and networking stability. Gameplay is very minimal at this stage, and there are definitely many bugs still to be fixed. This is very early in development. At the moment, the playtest is available on Windows only. Mac support is coming soon. Once you’ve downloaded the game, you won’t need to download it again for future tests. All incremental updates will be pushed via Steam, and you’ll be notified whenever a new update is available (like any other steam game). Since we’re still early in development, I will need to wipe the servers from time to time. I’ll try to keep this to a minimum, but please be aware that progress resets are expected at this stage.
