In this talk, I will provide an overview of the current state of open-source robotics: Simulators Middleware Autopilots Libraries Robots For simulators, I’ll discuss Gazebo, Webots, MuJoCo, pyrobosim, and ir-sim. In middleware, we will focus on ROS, YARP, DORA, and Copper, as well as many other open-source projects. Finally, we will examine how to build an open-source robot by analyzing the architecture of Reachy (https://www.pollen-robotics.com/reachy/), an open-source humanoid robot by Pollen Robotics.
