When to use LE LA LES (l') in French. The French definite articles all mean THE in English, but we don't always use them the same way. In French, we always add an article in front of the noun, and Le La Les are no exception to the rule. We use them with: - Abstract nouns - Concrete nouns in a general way - Languages and school subjects - Continents, countries, and provinces - Metrics - Date and days of the week - Body parts - Parler le In front of H, le and la will change to l' when followed by a word starting with a silent h (h muet). It will stay le and la in front of a word starting with aspirated H (h aspirΓ©). β’ The paperback on Amazon : https://amzn.to/2UYD1fd β’ The eBook on Amazon : https://amzn.to/3Dv0RAC β’ The PDF : https://theperfectfrench.com/shop/pdf-course-books/the-complete-french-grammar-course-french-beginners-to-advanced/ β’ All the lessons : https://www.theperfectfrench.com/french-grammar-course βΊ FREE COURSES π©βπ« Pronunciation β’ Conjugation β’ Grammar β’ Vocabulary β’ Idioms and expressions: https://www.theperfectfrench.com βΊ FREEBIES π β’ Free Self-study Guide: https://www.theperfectfrench.com/freebies β’ Free eBook - Conjugation : https://www.theperfectfrench.com/freebies β’ All my free PDFs : https://www.theperfectfrench.com/lessons-and-pdfs βΊ COME SAY HI π β’ Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/theperfectfrenchwithdylane/ β’ Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/groups/theperfectfrenchwithdylane β’ Support my work : https://www.theperfectfrench.com/support βΊ ALL MY BOOKS & TEXTBOOKS π β’ My Books : https://www.theperfectfrench.com/my-books βΊ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS and RECOMMENDATIONS β½ β’ Do I teach one-on-one ? β’ Recommended Apps ?
