The French emphatic pronouns, also called stressed pronouns (les pronoms toniques) are moi, toi, lui, elle, nous, vous, eux, elles, and soi. They are used to emphasize and can be found after French prepositions such as à, de, sans, pour, etc. But also after c’est and ce sont. If you want to emphasize even more, you can turn them into moi-même, toi-même, lui-même, elle-même, nous-même, vous-même(s), eux-mêmes, elles-mêmes, and soi-même.
