Currently Playing: Stairway to Certitude: Decoding Masonic Symbology/Cornerstone of Living/Ways of Work

-Symbols deliver messages that words cannot express. This is the very case with Masonic symbology. Initiates and Freemasons spend a lifetime understanding the deeper meaning of the universe by way of work, and that work is building. The building, or temple, we are referring to is one's own character. -The tools used to build, have a metaphysical meaning as well. The parabolic notions illustrated by the symbols of the staircase, the ladder, the alter, the checkerboard floor, the dual pillars, the all-seeing eye and the cornerstone are spiritual tools of the soul, to further do work on the unfinished great work of Hiram Abiff, the builder of Solomons temple. -How can understanding these occult philosophies help the average man bring himself, and his life into a more complete wholeness? How can this esoteric wisdom be passed down from age to age to keep the populace of mankind reminded of ancient knowledge? What can we do to ensure that this staple of freedom and correct thought/words/action has a home in the world of mankind and not just the chambers of the Mystics? -The way we use these metaphorical tools of the psyche, is the personal alchemy of each individual person. This alchemical transmutation is also their own highest responsibility. ///Links: -'Book of Wonderful Suffering' by our host Joseph W.
