Elden Ring just got two brand new starting classes, and after taking the Heavy Knight to its absolute limits, it’s time to see what the Idus Knight can actually do. Idus Knight is the only starting class in Elden Ring that starts with a Light Greatsword, a weapon type that was previously exclusive to Shadow of the Erdtree. Since I basically never use Light Greatswords, I figured this was the perfect excuse to make an entire run around one and see if this new starting class is actually worth using. For this run, I’m sticking with the Idus Knight’s starting weapon and armor and taking the build through Elden Ring to see how far it can go. The Light Greatsword has surprisingly fast attacks, strong status buildup, and some pretty ridiculous jump attacks, so naturally I had to see how much I could abuse it. I Climb.
