Using the key of C, we break down each note not just by name — but by its function relative to the root. In this lesson, you’ll see that the major scale always contains: • Major 2nd • Major 3rd • Perfect 4th • Perfect 5th • Major 6th • Major 7th • Octave The pattern never changes — only the note names do. We also move the shape to another key (like G) to prove that while the key signature changes, the interval structure stays exactly the same. This is where you stop just “playing a scale” and start understanding what each note means.
