Sounds pretty depressing and it can be, but then comes the good news! Living for Christ actually gets us a 'forever more', free of pain! Plus He takes on the burden of our living everyday for Him. My own experiences remind me of this truth and so I sing! Wouldn't have it any other way. The song also expresses the conflict between me and my inner self. My spirit reaches out for God though my hands or even thoughts are far from Him at times. My spirit has tasted His goodness and so even if I'm not 'feeling it', that inner part of me aches for more. Bliss comes when I worship Him and Him alone.
