Prosecutors challenged his opinions about Clancy’s mental state and the diagnosis of bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis. The testimony also focused on Clancy’s reported hallucinations, intrusive thoughts, medications and her treatment at Tewksbury Hospital. One of the most striking moments came when Zeizel was asked whether Lindsay talks about her children. His answer: she says she loves and misses them and thinks about them “almost every moment of the day.” Nate Eaton will break down what that testimony could mean for the defense and what happens after an abrupt end to the proceedings today. Then we turn to the Mario Fernandez-Saldana trial, where the defense continued challenging the prosecution’s case in the killing of Jared Bridegan. Jurors heard testimony about Fernandez-Saldana’s connections to Henry Tenon and repeated surveillance footage showing Fernandez-Saldana at the home where Tenon had lived. The jury also heard from people who knew Fernandez-Saldana, including former friends who testified about conversations in which he discussed Jared Bridegan’s death. And an ATF forensic biologist delivered important DNA testimony, saying there was support for Henry Tenon being a contributor to DNA found on several pieces of evidence.
