#lindsayclancy #jaredbridegan #courtroominsider The defense continued its case on day 15 of the Lindsay Clancy trial and much of the focus centered on Clancy’s mental health in the months leading up to the deaths of her three children. Clancy's mother-in-law, Susan Clancy, testified about her observations concerning her daughter-in-law before her grandchildren were killed. Then a psychiatrist testified about postpartum depression, anxiety, psychosis and medications Clancy was prescribed. Another defense expert testified that Clancy told him the voice in her head said she had no choice but to kill her children and then herself. The defense also presented a forensic pathologist who testified about Clancy’s injuries after she went out the window of her home. She described severe spinal and other injuries and explained her opinion about how Clancy landed. The testimony became especially emotional as prosecutors and the defense sparred over exactly how the children were strangled, with the prosecution demonstrating one of the exercise bands used in the killings in front of the jury.
