By (very very) popular demand, today I have stepped away from my traditional fare of open world survival games in favor of... more open world survival games. Welcome to Vintage Story. Inspired by Minecraft, this game takes the traditional hardcore survival elements of modded Minecraft and (supposedly) combines them with environmental storytelling and dangerous eldritch forces. Today, we learn that those dangerous eldritch forces do, in fact, exist, and are comprised of individuals with severe spinal deformities, spiders that have attended too many college level math courses, and perfectly normal monkeys, in the course of a great deal of exploration, copper collection, and the consumption of more berries than is safe for anything short of an industrial combine harvester.
