Watch the official music video for “Give It Away” by Red Hot Chili Peppers, the lead single from their breakthrough 1991 album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Driven by Flea’s funk bassline, John Frusciante’s guitar work, Chad Smith’s drumming, and Anthony Kiedis’ rapid-fire vocals, the song became the band’s first No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart and won the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance with Vocal in 1993. 🔔 Subscribe to Red Hot Chili Peppers: https://youtube.com/c/RedHotChiliPeppers/?sub_confirmation=1 Directed by Stéphane Sednaoui, the official music video features Red Hot Chili Peppers performing in a stark desert landscape, covered in metallic silver body paint and surrounded by surreal imagery. Alongside “Give It Away,” the album features some of their most enduring recordings, including “Under the Bridge,” “Breaking the Girl,” and “Suck My Kiss.” Built around a message of generosity and selflessness, “Give It Away” reflects the band’s funk roots while capturing the energy that defined their early sound.
