London's newest train station is Brent Cross West - I visited yesterday and there's a whole lot of nothing surrounding the station as all the flats get built around it. About three quarters of a mile northeast, the original Brent Cross has been sat there for 100 years now. When the shopping centre arrived in the 70s, this sleepy little Northern line station found itself entirely the wrong side of a giant road intersection to be particularly useful. To be fair, the new station isn't an easy walk to the centre either. That's enough to make me (Brent) cross.
