The second edition of Shards of the Past has arrived, and this time the developers have made some changes. The question is: Are they enough? Or should players simply save their resources and wait for the major event overhaul that Nexters has already announced for next month? Today we're breaking down every task chain, looking at the rewards, the resource requirements, and whether this event actually delivers better value than last month's version. And Guardians… for the first time, there are actually a few positive changes worth talking about. 🔥 IN THIS VIDEO 📋 Full Event Review 💎 Spend Emeralds Analysis ⚔️ Grand Arena Rewards 🐉 Hydra Task Review 🔮 Spend Runestones Discussion 🏰 Guild Activity Changes 👹 Realm Monster Task Improvements 📈 Event Value Analysis ⚠️ Should You Save For Next Month? 🏆 Final Verdict 📋 EVENT TASKS This month's Shards of the Past includes: ✔ Login ✔ Get VIP Points ✔ Spend Emeralds ✔ Fight in Grand Arena ✔ Fight Hydra ✔ Spend Runestones ✔ Earn Guild Activity ✔ Kill Realm Monsters Some remain unchanged. Others have received welcome improvements. 💎 EMERALD SPENDING There are currently no major sales attached to this event. That means players should think carefully before spending large amounts of Emeralds. If you're targeting Talismans, the Reward Box can still provide decent value, but remember many of these Talismans are already available through the Eternal Frontier Merchant. Planning matters. ⚔️ GRAND ARENA The rewards are reasonable. The problem remains the Emerald cost required to maximize the task. You'll need additional Grand Arena attempts beyond the free daily battles if you want full completion. 🐉 HYDRA One of the best tasks in the event. Easy. Accessible. Free-to-play friendly. And it rewards players with valuable resources including Relic Shards. A welcome addition. 🔮 THE RUNESTONE PROBLEM Unfortunately, the 500,000 Runestone requirement remains unchanged. This is still one of the most expensive tasks in the entire event. With Nexters already confirming a complete event overhaul next month, many players may choose to hold their Runestones and wait. 🏰 BIG IMPROVEMENT – GUILD ACTIVITY This is easily the biggest positive change. The old troop training task has been replaced with Guild Activity. The result? A far more achievable objective that naturally fits into everyday gameplay. This change is a massive improvement. 👹 REALM MONSTERS Another area where the developers listened. Instead of requiring 55 monsters every day, players now only need to defeat 25 monsters across the entire event. The task is now realistic. The rewards are reasonable. And the Relic Shards alone make it worth considering. 🏆 FINAL VERDICT Is Shards of the Past suddenly amazing? No. But it is better. The Guild Activity change is excellent. The Monster task is far more reasonable. And overall, the event feels less punishing than last month. The real question is whether these rewards are worth spending your resources now or whether you should wait for the complete event redesign arriving next month.
