Currently Playing: Titanfall 2 Critique: Time and Titans

Apologies for the video quality. I have Titanfall 2 on Ps4, so that's 720p footage right out the gate. Add rendering and youtube compression and you get this. RIP. Ammendments: I gave Drydock too much praise. I Don't think it's on the same tier as the other maps I listed. I read somewhere that a lot of the problems with T2's map design comes from the elevation. Titans will always be grounded, pilots though are able to climb up pretty much anything. Problem is, few titanfall 2 maps have differing elevations for Pilots and Titans, meaning Titans dominate a lot more. About some things I said on the NPCs: I said they were a genius balancing mechanic. And they are. For the individual player. Not the outcome of games. I don't think my originially intended comparison to Destiny or Battlefield in that regard is concrete. Battlefield games are regularly FAR closer than Titanfall. Its got a bit of a snowball problem. That would naturally happen with lower team sizes, and the NPCs fail to balance the teams effectively. Is there a way to do it right? To balance game outcomes without fucking with the competetive aspects? Apparently, T2 has spawning issues, where losing teams get bad spawns consistently. I can't comment on that. I might look in to it further. Having watched many a Titanfall 1 V 2 comparison video, I can safely say that T2's balancing has regressed FAR more than I realised or described in the video. I still think it's an excellent sequel, but it's very far off perfect. T3 has it's work cut out for it. Watch the T3 video I link below for more info. I don't agree with all the arguments in it. But I especially agree that T2's guns should not be using Random Bullet Deviation, even if they still feel great. Frothy's Loadout Balance Video.
