A rusted iron door behind a failing grocery store suddenly opens into Yanmen Pass—an ancient border fortress trapped between war, plague, and betrayal. Zhao Gang, a retired military doctor drowning in debt, accidentally crosses into the ancient Xia Dynasty and finds the beautiful female general Lin Wan critically wounded inside her command tent. While traditional healers have already given up, Zhao uses modern antibiotics, iodine, gauze, and battlefield medicine to save her life. After discovering the truth about his world, Lin Wan offers him a secret deal: modern food, medicine, flashlights, and tools in exchange for ancient gold, jade, and priceless artifacts. Zhao originally sees the portal as a way to repay his debts. But when he witnesses wounded soldiers, starving civilians, and a deadly plague spreading across the fortress, he chooses to stay and fight. He builds a quarantine zone, introduces modern sanitation, and becomes known as the miracle doctor of Yanmen Pass. But the medicine is running out. An imperial supervisor accuses Zhao of being a spy. A traitorous officer poisons the wells. Enemy forces surround the city, while the mysterious portal may close at any moment. With only seven days left, Zhao must create a new treatment using ancient resources. Lin Wan makes a deadly promise: even if the entire Lin Family Army falls, she will hold the fortress long enough for him to succeed. He heals her wounds. She protects him with her life. Together, they may change the fate of an ancient empire. #TimeTravelDrama #ChineseDrama #HistoricalRomance #MilitaryDoctor #FemaleGeneral #AncientChina #FantasyDrama #FullDrama #WarRomance #MedicalDrama #AIShortDrama #YanmenPass
