SUPPORT ME! https://patreon.com/Knowwaynohow Here's a video showing my recent trip 5 day to Xinjiang. With so much controversy around the region I figured I'd see the actual place for myself. We started in Kashgar, then made are way through the mountainous border region with Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan. Then we went to the desert to check out Shache. It was amazing meeting not only Uyghurs but finding out about the many other ethnic groups like Tajiks, mongols, kazakhs, and Hui. Uyghurs are welcoming, charismatic and hilarious. After my travels to over 30 countries this was my first time experiencing Middleastern/central asian culture and probably one of my most memorable trips. I think this region is so hard to imagine for many westerners and its always painted in such a bad light so I figured I'd just make a video with light edits just showing my trip and that people there are living normal lives and honestly everywhere I went, thriving. I will also make a video explaining the political aspect and history of the region in the future.
