However, they are playing characters that are apparently "clones" of their Marvel Rivals hero main in a custom match. People on the internet have argued that Marvel Rivals copied Overwatch's release. They are both hero shooters, and Overwatch used to be in the 6v6 format before its sequel released and lowered to 5v5. You have characters like Dr Strange that hold up a shield and use their stunning ultimate that works almost identically to Overwatch characters like Reinhardt, or Squirrel Girl with explosive projectiles and traps like Junkrat. They have new characters with similar abilities and ultimates, but how much did OW2 actually inspire Marvel Rivals at all. In between these custom games, we interviewed the new players on comparisons between Marvel Rivals vs Overwatch 2.
