When I was a kid, I always remember the doctor asking me at my physical if I listened to music. It was my understanding that the doctor always asked me this question as a way to check in on my mental health. It makes sense because the type of music I listen to in different scenarios often reflects how I'm feeling mentally. I'll listen to rap when I'm in a good mood and indie rock when I'm touring and everything is sad and there's a tumbleweed and I'm more in that vibe. I also really enjoy making my mom playlists and listening to the music she grew up on. I bring all of this up because my mom and I will share our music recommendations with all of you upon request from this episode's caller.
