I'll include my thoughts here for those that want it. Overall, progression mode is a solid 3/5 right now. Which is not a bad score! Early Access is enjoyable and offers decent amounts of replay. The build-up to The Baron is good and so is the overall progression, but when you compare it to the excitement of the Gauntlet from the Demo, it falters. My two main points of improvements to the developers would be this: 1. The weapon control is poor, I avoided swords because of how wonky they are. Heart Over Death made this point excellently. 2. Progression Mode is nice as a campaign for Half Sword, but the Gauntlet and freeplay is the mode that makes people return. The Gauntlet and Progression Mode should not be considered one mode, but two separate. An arcadey Mortal Kombat-esqe tower with bosses to defeat in the Gauntlet and a more in-depth customizable and personal RPG with Progression Mode. Free-play is there as the TABS-esqe fun mode.
