The prophecy stirs, and that hot-headed Achilles seems fated to tip the scales of war. So, who’s feeling Greek today, and who fancies a bit of Trojan mischief? We all know you can’t resist dipping your divine fingers in the mortal pot. Choose your champions, and let the madness begin! Athena, my daughter, whom do you favor? Paris spurned my gift for lust – let Troy now bear that scar, I stand with Greece, for Odysseus holds my wisdom like a star. Let Aphrodite guard her prize, but justice has begun, And I will see her darling boy undone before the siege is won. The rose he chose will wilt in war – let every Trojan pay. For queens remember every slight, and I will have my way. Who was he? We’ll shield the crown of Ilium from every foreign flame. Their lust for blood won’t break our will or stain our sacred name. For every scorn, a storm shall rise – their arrogance outmatched. Let Troy behold the wrath they sowed – their first mistake will surely be their last. You speak as though my gift was vain, but beauty knows its worth. The prince chose love, as any man would do upon this earth. His heart was wise to follow mine, for who could spurn this face? Don’t fault me for a contest won with elegance and grace. The Grecian king walks paths that cross the sacred and the wild. If he offends the laws I keep, no sea shall bear his child. Dry the ink of this tale. We’ll shield the crown of Ilium from every foreign flame. Their lust for blood won’t break our will or stain our sacred name. For every scorn, a storm shall rise – their arrogance outmatched. Let Troy behold the wrath they sowed – their first mistake will surely be their last. Well then, my devious dramaturgs, the stage is set, and the audience is waiting. And you’ve all picked your favorite stars like gamblers at a chariot race. Athena scripts the prince’s doom, Hera fumes at mortal lust, and Aphrodite? Ah, she wraps it all in ribbons and calls it destiny. You just can’t help yourselves, can you? Taking sides, pulling strings, creating “miracles” – it's all such delicious fun! Just remember: the Fates get the final say, and even the gods can’t rewrite the ending. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Melody of War is a mythic concept album that reimagines the Trojan War through a deeply personal, character-driven lens — centered on Achilles, his complex relationship with Patroclus, and the immense heroic world that surrounds them. Blending ancient legend with modern music production, this two-hour, three-act narrative spans their entire journey: from innocent boyhood on the shores of Phthia to the fires of war, the death of Achilles, and, at last, their reunion in the underworld. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ #melodyofwar #musical #trojanwar
