This is not a cohesive and structured video essay, just me walking and talking and getting distracted by flowers and "cracks in the land" and other stuff and things C: So my problem with villages in modern minecraft is how common they are. And I think it's one of the reasons I was quitting playing minecraft so often :c I know I could disable the structures but I love villages, I just wish they were VERY RARE so that looking for them felt like a real adventure. Recently i played minecraft with my friend (in 1.20.4), we came cross THREE villages in less than half an hour, we looted everything of course, and just like that in the very beginning of a game we were at a point we had everything to just settle and built a house. There was no thrill of first night, because we could sleep in any of the houses and steal the beds. That does not feel fun for me BUT it's just my subjective perception! I remember in minecraft 1.8 villages were hard to find, and it was cool looking for them. Maybe my memory betrays me... if anyone played 1.8 please tell me if villages were more rare in comparison to 1.20.4! I'd also love to know how you feel about villages in modern minecraft!
