Graham Partner's insurgent bid for Senate in Maine was gathering some steam last summer when his campaign was confronted with some potentially explosive information. Mr. Partner's wife, Amy Girtner, told a senior campaign aid he had been exchanging sexual messages with multiple other women. was a kind of revelation with the potential to damage political newcomer just as his campaign to unseat Senator Susan Collins, a Republican, was beginning to resonate with voters, especially in a state where female voters make up a large share of the electorate. Mr. Partner's exchanges with women were confirmed by current and former campaign officials who gave different accounts of some of the details. Miss Girtner said the couple who had married in November 2023, according to the town clerk of Sullivan, Maine, was working through his indiscretions in marriage counseling. Genevie McDonald, a former state legislator who was partner's campaign partner campaign's political director before leaving October said Miss Girtner had reached out just days before a big Labor Day rally with Senator Bernie Sanders independent of Vermont and was concerned about her husband's behavior could become a political liability. Miss McDonald said Miss Girtner told her that her husband had been exchanging sexual messages with as many as a dozen women. A current Platiner campaign official said Mr. Platner had been communicating with up to six women. The current official said that the messages surfaced when Mr. McDonald asked if Miss Girtner asked Miss Girtner if there was anything she wanted to share amid an internal vetting process. Miss Girtner told the campaign that the couple had dealt with the issue in counseling. According to the official, the revelation threatened to add to Democratic uh anxieties about the state of the main race, which the party sees as critical to its chances of winning control of a Senate in November. Um, in a statement released by the campaign, Miss Gner suggests she had been betrayed by Mrs. Macdonald, saying she was deeply hurt and bothered by the invasion of our privacy. I confided deeply personal details about my marriage to someone I consider a friend. I trust his personal most private chapter of our lives, the early days of our marriage before any campaign was on our mind. Our marriage today is stronger than ever before. I know the man I married and the husband he has been to me on the best and worst days of my life. That hasn't changed and it won't. Mrs. McDonald shared with the New York Times what she said was a screenshot of a of a text message exchange with Miss Girtner started in the early hours of August 27th, 2025. Miss Girtner had sent a message to a broader group asking someone from the campaign to contact her and Miss McDonald offered to talk. In their conversation, Miss Girtner told her about the messages which she described as texting. The United States Senate is not a training ground for redemption, Mr. McDonald said. And so now with Hollywood kind of making their claim and saying something like this, it's a huge indication that their entire focus now is definitely on Japanese media, in this case anime, to kind of make it more popular and latch on to it and basically be like a parasite to destroy what it actually is. And we've already seen kind of examples of this of what's been going on. I mean, we can look at like just how modern anime is and how it's trying to cater towards the lowest common denominator and cater towards people that basically don't want like uh anything that's too complex. I mean, I I want to give a good example of Soul Leveling. I think this is a very good example of that. Soul Leveling became an extremely popular anime last year, one of the most popular anime last year. And the thing about it is is that Soul Leveling had an episode where there was a mother, the mother of the MC, Jin Wu, that got healed. And it was like one of the main subplots of the story that kind of made Jim Wu even become stronger to get money. He had a moment where he broke down. He started crying, getting emotional. And you know what uh fans in the community said about that episode? They said that he lost all his aura. Jin Wu lost all his aura. The series was bad. And it became one of the worst rated episodes of the entire series because this stoic paper or cardboard cutout character showed emotion and actually had a little bit of depth to him instead of just like, "Oh, I'm strong. I'm powerful OP and I'm going to kill any enemy in my way. He actually had a little bit of emotion showcasing that he is human because he cried for his mother." And so the fact that that was rated the worst episode kind of goes to show where we're going at now with the the the new anime, at least when it comes to mainstream anime, that it's becoming watered down and becoming the very thing that we have seen already in Western media. I mean, we already have stuff to where there's a lot of creators and content creators calling their bonafide cartoon straight up anime trying to latch on to the hype of anime. We've also had similar people that are creating comics in the like content creator space or different like celebrities straight up calling a comic a manga and it's like no no that that's not a manga and all that and it's very clear what's going on here. Where is it? Hannah Spencer is facing backlash for slamming Westminster's drinking culture. At some point in your life, you have gone into work after having a beer or gone out for a break and had a beer or you've gone, you know, whatever you have. If you're not a total [ __ ] loser, you've done this. I mean, yeah. Or on drugs. Yeah, people show up to work high or drunk all the time in any average work environment. That's just kind it's just real. And you don't just get instantly [ __ ] fired as long as it's like actually an issue. As long as it's not not actually an issue. It's like it doesn't even become a problem in most cases. uh phenomenon, but certainly by the ' 90s it had started to diminish and I you know my you know I think the parliament isn't immune from that but you know you're stuck there you >> whiskers >> you know you you've been probably working all day >> um you know yes I mean you know most people would probably sit down and you know have a glass of wine in the evening I mean the question is you know how how much you're going to drink. >> When I was 16, I worked at a building society. We would at 16 uh go to the pub for lunch. Um we don't do that now. I don't work for that building society or bank anymore. But you don't do that kind of thing, you know. It's not what you're doing. >> Yes, you do. >> Any any proper decision making whilst intoxicated in any way. It's not right. >> Don't don't think it should be allowed at all. There's no workplace where you are allowed to drink. And the other thing I would suspect that it'll be a subsidized bar >> because it's just not acceptable. Everyone knows the effects of alcohol. Everyone knows that is, you know, inebriates you. It uh, you know, it changes your decision- making and everything. >> Drink fogs your mind. So, how can you be sitting there making decisions for all of us when you've had a few paints down your neck? Why should the people who are, let's be honest, making some of the biggest decisions in this country, they're making decisions about, you know, >> I just don't think there should be a rule. If people care about it, they should just pressure politicians to talk about whether they drink or not. And then if they really care about us that much, they should vote for politicians that don't drink on the job. >> Future of this country, policy, you know, there's an Iran war going on. And look, I'm not saying that these people are getting drunk, um, because you'd probably know about it if they were. But at the end of the day, you know, there's a reason you can't drink on one pint. There's a reason you can't do many things on on on on any alcohol really. Um and I really think that >> the outrage that you've had from you know likes of Nigel Farage hitting back and some MPs going well you know this is how it's always been. Um it's just indicative of what just a lad's club isn't it really. >> Nigel Farage has had his say he said that um it's a British tradition and um they should they should be allowed to drink in parliament. >> It's not a British tradition to drink at work. Um, and you just think if you're doing a really important job like that and you're at the head of this country, you're making these decisions, then you shouldn't be anywhere near our goal. >> There are some exceptionally professional MPs who do not do this. Let's not tile them all with the same brush, you know. But there are times when I mean I I noticed in the in the press recently where they're suggesting that an MP was intoxicated whilst voting shouldn't be allowed. >> That doesn't surprise me with the state of the country at all. >> I can maybe understand. Dude, the thing is it's just like stop taking the fun out of everything. Stop bringing all the fun. Stop taking all the fun out of everything. Here's the I can understand maybe not being too drunk for voting. Maybe there should be limits should be like below the driving limit or something. But um they they should be allowed to, you know, have a have a drink before they go in for a debate. I don't want sober in the [ __ ] debates. >> Oh, so yeah, I'd say they're all probably had too much to drink the way the country is being run at the moment. So yeah, I don't think >> very, you know, civil service, NHS, >> fire service, they police service, prison service, if they were to turn up in any way intoxicated, there'd be a discipline job. They are grown-ups. They are profit repeated the Henry Novak racist cop story in his current live. Oh my god. Oh my god. Yeah, the the thing that this guy told me I was reading about that um there is some [ __ ] going on with that. Apparently the seat guy was recorded admitting to it being his fault, but um the the claims that the cops were racist, uh I haven't seen that substantiated at all. >> Professionals, you've got to tell them this is no longer acceptable. Close the bars. You know, it's as simple as that. that money could be spent elsewhere. >> Look, there's nothing wrong with going for a pint after work. I love going for a pint after work. It's one of the best pints you can have, you know, especially with your colleagues, people that you work with, some of the closest people, you know, you work with them every day. Like, I don't think there should even be an argument. I mean, how how out of date does that sound? Saying, "Yeah, I think we should be allowed to drink pints, drink alcohol at work." Okay, we're going to drop for We're back. We're back. I don't want to go out of co-workers. I mean, it depends on your co-workers. I've had jobs where I had just like uh you know, good good co-workers who weren't total losers, you know. They're all millennials. See, I I would when I was like I think they would be millennials, too. It was all millennials. I think when it was like when I was like 19 this when I was most most socially active with co-workers when I was like n sort of like 18 19 maybe 20 um before co started I probably I I used to go out with a bunch of like you know 25 to like 35 year olds mainly. Some even older. I do. You be like the youngest one there. So it was all millennials mainly. But yeah, if you've got like not awful co-workers, it's epic. with me. It, you know, we're making these rules and we expect the standards of our civil servants, of our firefighters, of our police officers, of our prison service, of all all public life and, you know, and everybody else. If you're a banker and you and you make a decision and and you're half cut, that decision, you know, if you're making, you know, decisions on investments that >> you can't drink till you're 21, >> you're then making laws uh are are uh intoxicated. They they've got a cushy ro um and a lot of them haven't really worked a proper job in their lives really. They've gone into this uh MP job where they're getting paid a nice amount to do it. A lot of them aren't turning it to parliament most of the time anyway. um they mentioned they're representing the people and realistically ask a constituent you know should your MP do you want your MP in parliament having a few pints most of them going to say no of course not um and why do I know they don't like a change well they don't like being challenged and they don't like being challenged by a woman probably okay what else can I take a look at here There's a soy pill wick debate about Hassan, but we tried that and it seemed quite bad. Well, I would work night shift sometimes and so we would we would like go somewhere before work every once in a while. Not very common. Not I probably only did it a handful of times. We're going somewhere uh like you start at like 9 or 10 in the evening. You you go somewhere for a drink first, you know. We would do that for football. So, I didn't I didn't go that many times, obviously. New rules. >> Is there anything funny I could farm from this guy? This guy's like a total [ __ ] This guy sucks. Britain's [ __ ] it. Britain's new transphobic laws explained transent we are really at the bottom of the barrel >> around single sex spaces in the UK were published towards the end of last week. These govern how businesses and organizations in Britain are and crucially are not allowed to provide for trans people. And it's another win for the trans phobes I'm afraid. I mean working high any [ __ ] waste a job you like literally it's it's like so common people just do it high any [ __ ] waste a job like fast food [ __ ] or anything like that is like so commonly titled Equalities and Human Rights Commission Code of Practice was presented to Parliament by Minister for Women and Equalities Bridget Phillipsson last Thursday but has been a long long time coming both in terms of the specific legal process which has changed these rules, but also the broader trend of transphobic backlash in the UK. It is sadly fitting that the guidance was published just a week and a bit after the UK was revealed to have dropped further in the so-called rainbow map of LGBT rights across Europe where it was once very top and is now at place number 22 in a not so great yellow. Let's talk a bit about what the rules say, how we got here, and where all this goes next. And like apologies for being a bit sweaty. It's like a real heat wave here. Uh we don't have air con. Uh and I'm I'm dying a little bit. So the UK Parliament has just adopted new rules for how businesses and other organizations should police single sex services. This includes physical spaces like toilets and changing rooms, but also support services like domestic abuse support, which might be targeted at either men or women. The crucial part of the rules which everyone was waiting to hear about is how businesses should treat trans people. In fact, the very rewriting of this particular part of the equality rules is a result of the very loud, if fringe, backlash against trans rights, which has picked up significant momentum here in Britain in recent years. The new rules represent a massive and uncompromising loss for trans rights with trans people effectively excluded from any public space which involves a degree of gender segregation. That might include changing facilities, but probably most consequentially lose because you know sometimes you're out and about and you've got away. The rules not only allow businesses and to ban trans men from men's spaces and trans women from women's spaces, but effectively compels them to do so in some cases. The crucial line perhaps being this one. Um, if a service provider or a person providing a service in the exercise of public functions admits trans people to a service intended for the opposite. This means that if a service is provided only to women and trans women or only to men and trans men is not a separate sex or single sex service. Well, I mean that's true if you talk if you delineate based on sex. That's just true. um you'd have to delineate based on gender, right? >> Sex, then it can no longer rely on the exception set out a paragraph da this means that if a service is provided only to women and trans women or only to men and transmen, it is not a separate sex or single sex. I suppose the issue is that they've they've determined that in the Equalities Act, the reference to women is women along the lines of sex, right? That's that's what's causing >> living in a circle with my girl, boss, workmates, big square head, and a small face. >> Thank you for the $5 face >> service under the Equality Act 2010. To unpick that a little bit, effectively the overarching rule in the UK, as in many other countries, is that you are not allowed to treat people differently based on sex, race, disability, age, gender reassignment, or a bunch of other stuff unless treating them differently is a quote proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim. And in any case where you do want to treat people differently, you have to have both those things. The treatment has to be proportionate and you also have to be seeking a legitimate aim. Single sex toilets for example are discriminatory. Right? You are saying some people can go in this room, other people cannot. And I am making that decision based on sex or gender depending on who you are. But they are considered a proportionate way of achieving a legitimate aim of comfort and dignity. It is proportionate because no one who can't go in that room based on their sexual gender is like losing out on some incredible uh life opportunity. also >> saying this is Tom Nicholls. >> There is another room that they can go in and it is a legitimate aim because that comfort and dignity is considered legitimate and you are thus legally allowed in that case to discriminate on the basis of sex. These new rules however begin from the starting point that everyone should be treated at all times certainly in legal terms according to their sex as recorded at birth. Under that logic, if you allow transmen to use the men's lues, then the logic is that you are not actually discriminating based on sex as the law sees it. And thus, you can't be protected by that exception to the law. What the guidance says is that effectively what you would be doing is that because according to these guidelines, trans men are women. By not allowing all women to use the men's lues, you are thus discriminating against them. Incredibly though, the rules also provide loads of carveouts in order to allow businesses and organizations to bar transmen from women's spaces and trans women from men's spaces too. The result effectively being that you can ban a women's center provides a gym predominantly used by Jewish women who have religious objections to sharing a gym with men. The gym considers whether that to open the gym to men on certain days or to open the gym on a mixed sex basis on certain days. However, the center decides to offer the gym only to women because the overwhelming demand from the service is from Jewish women and there are numerous other gyms in the area that cater to men and trans women. This service would exclude men and trans women that is likely to be proportionate and lawful. The gym should also consider whether a service user may have a reasonable objection to a trans man accessing the gym and if so whether it would be necessary to exclude them. This be a question of proportionality and will depend on all the circumstances including the extent to which the transerson presents as the opposite sex. Okay. For this reason they should only consider doing so on a case-by case basis. I mean, yeah, this looks messy as [ __ ] This looks messy as [ __ ] but how else should you handle it? I actually don't know. >> Trans people from using any of the L's in your business or use a secret third option like the accessible L because screw anyone else who needs to use the accessible L. I guess there's someone currently uh with a baby who has discovered that very often the baby changing facilities are also in the accessible. How do you even enforce this stuff? Well, it's not like enforced like the police come around. It's like if someone has a complaint, they they'll like sue the business. That'll be a ruling. Blue, it really does create this sort of awful world where you have a reasonable number of people all trying to use the same blue at the same time. And I always feel really bad cuz like I sort of don't need to use that room as much as someone who like needs it for accessibility purposes. I just don't think adding to that queue is particularly helping anybody. In fact, it's hard to get across quite how far the UK has fallen when it comes to trans rights in recent years, which is absolutely not to say that things were perfect or even good before. But looking at the way things were really brings to light how vindictive >> Please tell me you're going to have more in-depth discussion here. It's not just going to be you winging about how conservative trans people >> and cruel this new era is. As I already mentioned a couple of weeks ago, it was announced that the UK had fallen to 22nd place in the rainbow map which compares European countries based on LGBT rights. Back in 2015, it was top of that list and that was under a conservative government. Equal marriage in Britain was passed under David Cameron, right? Even if there was significant opposition to it from within his own party, even if there were some carveouts within that, that was passed under a conservative administration. Theresa May, another conservative prime minister, was planning to demedicalize the gender transition process. Neither of those laws were perfect, I'm sure, and both those people did awful things. And neither homophobia nor transphobia were absent in those periods. Absolutely anything but. But there really was a period where to be seen to be a decent person in respectable society, you kind of had to think that LGBT rights were good. And it has taken real effort to steer us away from that world. Anti-trans campaign groups like Sex Matters here in the UK have gathered big fighting funds. In the case of Sex Matters, it's completely undisclosed where that money comes from. And what's been particularly interesting is that they've not really bothered with traditional forms of campaigning. Every time one of these groups holds a protest, it is absolutely minuscule in its attendance. They're usually more photo ops for the press and the media than they are protests in the traditional sense. Because transphobia and certainly like committed campaigning transphobia just isn't that popular. Rather than public support or running political candidates, then transphobic campaigners have really focused on using the courts to change the law, which works really well if you're trying to bring about not particularly popular conservative laws because the courts are somewhere where money really talks and popular support matters very little. And all of this has brought us to a really dangerous place. I talked in a recent episode of Slow Newsuesday about what are effectively legal threats sent by the ex-Swmer Sharon Davies to organizations including Parkr Run, telling them that they need to strictly gender segregate a Saturday morning fun run or that they were at risk of being found to have broken the law. She was supported in those letters by ADF International, an American evangelical legal group, which is not only anti-trans but also anti-abortion and anti- divorce of all things. This is a really dangerous place to be. equality law. >> Okay, man. It's just like winging about the, you know, general landscape of trans stuff. I I want I want to know more about the the trans law change. >> Um, let's try and find a better video about this. Why is Tom Nichols the only guy talking about this? Oh, what's this? It is fair. UK equalities chief on gender, sex and the law to say is it that a transw woman is not a woman for the purposes of the law regardless of what individuals >> for the purposes of the equality act. >> You've had what 30 odd years working equality and diversity and yet it seems to me only quite recently has it become as controversial as it has. Why? I think >> no, I don't think it's more relevant with athletic stuff. I think the athletic stuff is like a total scop. >> There's not that many trans people and there's even less trans athletes. It's like not a not a thing now. Trans health care and trans access to, you know, whatever spaces they need. Um, that like affects all trans people at least, you know. And it affects in terms of the spaces, it affects the people around them too. Um, so that's like that's the actual those are like the actual issues. I think the athletic stuff is like total SC up [ __ ] It's just so conservatives can bang on about, you know, hulking trans women beating the [ __ ] out of your daughter in sports like they do with rape gangs and [ __ ] I think some of these issues have always been contested. One of the problems has been um the idea >> even the bathroom sheds a bit like that to be honest. But I mean when it comes down to the actual policy I mean there is a discussion to be had. >> Equality or human rights legislation is a a sword which can be used to attack another group you know to to to make your case and actually it is something that protects all of us. So if for example you want to protect your own right to protest or to freedom of expression, you also have to recognize that the legislation that does that protects the rights of people you disagree with. All too often when you get into these really difficult and complicated debates, you can set up a situation which is basically if you don't absolutely agree with my position over here, that must mean you're either stupid or you're a bad actor. And that's not true. It's also tactically really stupid. No one is ever persuaded to change their mind by being told that they're stupid. I mean, all it does is make them angry. Um, if you want to convince people, if you profoundly disagree with somebody and think they're wrong, the way to do that is through dialogue. It's not through shutting people down or mocking them for stupidity. Um and I think you know some of what we saw was the kind of after effects for example of the the Brexit referendum where there was a you know a tendency on some sides to think well if you you know if you voted a particular way that's obviously because you're stupid or or because you're evil because you don't care. >> This debate about free speech versus hate speech. >> Yes. Yes. When we see on the one hand Tommy Robinson leading a march and on the other the so-called Nagba march the other day celebrating uh the fight for Palestinian rights. What are the issues that you in the commission now need to wrestle with? >> Well, I think again, you know, these are issues where you have got a you've got a conflict of rights. Um and people have the right to freedom of expression. They have the right to to protest, the right to freedom of assembly. People also have the right to live without harassment, without threats of violence and so on. So generally, you know, our our role at the EHRC is often to talk about the importance of the right to protest and the fact that that may include or the right to freedom of expression may include the expression of views that people find offensive, but there is a limit to that. And on that example is what matters the perception of those people who feel threatened as it often is in the law. In other words, if many but not all British Jews think from the river to the sea >> means a single Palestinian state, the abolition of the state of Israel, is that what matters? That's what they hear. That's what they think. That's what they fear. And therefore, the law should be on their side. I mean it kind I mean it kind of does mean that but like what's wrong with saying that? Wait, what's what would that wouldn't be hate speech to say? >> Well, there is a complexity >> like it I >> Yeah. Right. Because framework has tended to be based on the perception of the the person at the receiving end. Um the freedom of expression um protections in the the human rights act are generally based on the idea that um there's quite a high level of protection for political speech quite rightly and that does include speech that people find offensive and the limitations are around incitement um you know incitement of violence for example um and so how you negotiate that in practice is a tricky one and it is something that we are looking at and it's also something that um Lord McDonald's you're looking at at the moment with his review of the right to protest and hate speech. >> The detail will come out later, but you inclined to say the balance isn't right at the moment. People are hearing things on the street. >> I think what we have we have a problem with legislation around protest which is that it is very complicated um and has brought been developed over a number of years and in some cases I think does unreasonably restrict the right to protest. Um I think when we're thinking about that we also have to think about um protection against people for people against you know hate speech and incitement to violence and I think how you deal with that is often quite context specific and it's often specific to the particular situation the particular march um and so we are asking you know we're asking the police to make some quite difficult decisions on the day >> not everybody accepts that this is >> well it's just like a nonsense [ __ ] answer. I'd >> the best way to describe it, but many see it as a battle between those arguing for rights for trans people and those who are arguing to preserve women's rights fought for over decades, before we talk about the detail of the guidance you've just issued, how did it come to this? I mean, did other countries end up in this sort of >> harass? I think I think one of the things that is important to say is this is not a fundamental clash between the rights of women and the rights of trans people per se. It is a clash between the rights claims of different people groups. Um so >> claims being the important word. >> So basically you know you have a human rights framework for example that gives the right to privacy. What does that mean in practice? Different groups will say in order to uphold my right to privacy I need X Y and Zed and other people might say well that affects my right to privacy in these ways and that's where the conflict comes. So it's not it's not that you can't uphold the rights of both women and trans people because I think you can and that's what we've tried to do in our code of practice. >> You don't make the law. >> No, >> you implement the law. But just so people understand in law now thanks to the judgment of the Supreme Court it is fair to say is it that a trans woman is not a woman for the purposes of the law regardless of what individuals >> for the purposes of the Equality Act. One of the reasons I think why people can get themselves caught in a mess when they're asked that question is because there is a complexity. So for the purposes of the Equality Act, um the Supreme Court ruled that a um that sex is defined by biological sex and that the terms women and men are defined by biological sex. Um but under the gender recognition act, if you have a gender recognition certificate, um you legally become >> Yeah. people act like this is a backslide in like attitudes towards trans people. But my understanding is all that happened is there was a challenge brought and the court said no when this act was written when the equal when the equalities act was written it was written using the terms women and men as male as as female and male as sex terms and that when it said sex it meant biological sex. It was not referring to some social concept of gender. That's not like a backslide. That was just a there was a vagueness in the law as to what I was referring to and they just ruled that is what it meant. I don't know. It was influenced by the current attitudes around it. >> Um for most but not all purposes that >> it wasn't like a policy you wish to be. obviously how people treat people like it was it was a court ruling >> can be a third thing alto together and I think you know very many people would want to treat people as they would want to be treated >> you've been really clear haven't you if you're a large enough organization or have a large enough building easy you have cubicles you know they're unisex cubicles anybody can go them problem solved in many ways um the contention comes if that isn't the easy solution when we narrow it down to bathrooms and toilets. And the question that is sometimes asked of you, Baroness Kennedy has raised it, of course, >> is if a woman has been a trans woman and lived as such, she said for 20 years. >> Yeah. I think it will affect their rights. I think, you know, this is going to be quite messy from what I'm saying. It's not like I'm saying they're wrong to feel that to feel that it's going to affect their rights. I just the way that the decision is framed I think is wrong. You should be you shouldn't be pushing against this court decision. you should be pushing for new legis legislation cuz I I think the court decision is the correct one. I think that legislation was intended to talk about sex. I think that was the wording. I think that was the the intended meaning. But I think stuff just isn't um there needs to be like new legislation on it because there are like you know I I I think honestly a lot of like the bathroom stuff is like kind of [ __ ] like people caring if trans people are in whatever bathrooms I think that is kind of a little bit [ __ ] and just for the sake of convenience you know I I think allowing businesses and services to be flexible in who they allow in is good. I think you know this whole idea that there's some you know test for um like it was indicating in there there's some like idea there's considerations for how well they pass basically like that's in the guidance and that seems [ __ ] That's just like how you That's just like what are we even doing at that point? What are we What are we even doing at that point? Uh but you should still be able to have like actual female only services. You know, it is just true that there's, you know, sex differences. I understand why stuff like, you know, a lot of like like a lot of women don't like the idea of like trans women being allowed into TV shows. I get it. I think there should be space for that to not be the case. Um so yeah there's there's there I do think there should be car I think there should be you know sex only spaces should be possible but I think there should be more flexibility for like businesses generally around the around the like gender stuff and how you're delineating bathrooms and all this [ __ ] or 30 years are we really saying that if she goes to Waterloo station and gets caught short because she's a woman of certain age that she can't use the woman's toilet which she's been using for >> I mean I think you know one of the the things about the the station example for example >> it's just like I I get you know it's not even like I think yo I totally get wanting to have these sex only spaces even for toilet bilelets in some cases. But the idea that it's enforced that you do that, which seems almost the way this is leaning, just seems like a total [ __ ] pain. It just seems like it creates unnecessary pain for what? Yeah, I get religious exceptions as well. That makes sense. >> Is that there are um uh unisex toilets available um >> not just at Water elsewhere. Yeah. not just at Waterloo but elsewhere. Um and obviously the policing of this has to be proportionate. So it would not be proportionate I don't think for um a train station to put somebody on guard on outside toilets checking who's going in and out. Um that you know that wouldn't be a proportionate response.
