Auxiliary verbs are also called helping verbs. They are extremely common in English. Knowing how to use auxiliary verbs will help make learning English grammar much simpler. "Be," "Do," and "Have" can been seen in the English tenses, the passive voice, and more common structures. Remember, "Be," "Do," and "Have" can be BOTH auxiliary verbs AND main verbs.
