Hey people, five aces here. Welcome back to round two of GG versus Sir. Right now, we're looking at a 1 nil lead for GG. The past game uh that I casted last week was absolutely stunning. We had back and forth, we had base swaps, we had everything. and the kitchen sink thrown at us. And that is what we want as open array viewers because uh standard games are for losers. So, here we are. Oh, yeah. Something I wanted to share before the uh the actual game starts because the early game is usually the quiet part. Uh today, I swear I must have uncovered an animal conspiracy. Never quite seen anything like this. So, uh, as I think I may have told you previously, I did, um, I did agree to practice for a half marathon run with a friend friend/ neighbor of mine. Um, which was already kind of a bad idea. So, I started practicing morning runs, you know, and I did an extended round today uh, up to the lake. And on the shores of Lake Constance, for the first time in my life, I saw more than one beaver. In fact, I saw 10 beavers congregating. I didn't even know like I don't think they're supposed to be her animals. I must read up on this. And the way they were the way they were moving through the waters, it was like very deliberate. It was like they were up to something. So, yeah, the the great beaver conspiracy of 2025. If anything happens to me, just uh look in the next dam or ditch for my body. I I hope not. All right. With that, let's get the game underway. Wait a sec. Didn't I just Didn't I cast this game before? I think I must have used the wrong replay. Okay, mission aboard. We're going to take a look at the other one. So, you get to look at the replay client of mine. Uh, Crownsbury. Yep, that were those were two games in Crownsbury. All right. Three games, in fact. So, let's start with this one. They're out of order, I guess. That's fine, right? Chi-Chi as Germany, sir as Ukraine, and we are basically going to have the same setup once more. And that's why I got so confused. The maps were just absolutely identical, right? Pass the run time, I guess. So, is there any build divergence this time around? Racks and racks. No cheese just yet. No cheese detected. Uh we've seen some success from Grenadas, but that was against Yanano. So sir this time around opting to stay put a little bit and going engineer first. In fact, this is a kind of a risky proposition, but the rush distance is quite extended. So it's a long lane. Plus, you get to move around those beautiful castle ruins, which did not used to be part of the original asset list, but they are gorgeous. So, we're going to take a look at them once more as the early game unfolds a little bit. So, yeah, what's been happening in other news? Uh, yeah, we're Oh, wait a second. There is grand ideas. Okay, we're cooking. We're cooking. Um, yeah. So, I'm getting u getting back into school prep, unfortunately. So, my limited spare time is going to be limited even a little more, but um I'm still going to manage to squeeze in a couple casts. And I've had a blast casting Rise of the Reds as well. So, oh my goodness. Is that going to be one of the legendary engineer kills with a Grenadier? No. No, sir. They have been revealed. This was move command. Yeah. Good night, sweet prince. Those grants ain't connecting to anything. So really good awareness from GG despite the grenades is not firing off a valley. They have been uncovered. Their cover has been blown. RIP. They're still around somewhere. Still sharking around. Honestly, if I were GG, he's on double rip. I would just queue up the pillbox. Doing a fake Van move. So Van must be Oh, he just moved the Grenadier. So he just moved the engineer, so he probably knows about this. Yep. Yes, sir. Is moving in the hit squad just to ward off any more rushes. And in fact, they have been sniffed out. RIP. Pop goes the grin. Wait, there is still one surviving. I mean, this one doesn't have enough punch by itself to to meaningfully damage the base. But as is the case in openery and used to be the case in command and conquer red alert as well, uh power plants give power output proportional to their to their health bar. So even if you manage to damage it, it is going to decrease uh the power output by quite a margin. And that's not the case for generals and such. There it's just you know either it's a very binary either it produces at full capacity or it doesn't. And then there's China where you can just overload the uh nuclear power plants for no good reason at all other than to temporarily increase um power output by 50%. But that's like very desperate measure. Okay, the Grenia is still waiting in the wings. This has been a quiet early game. Jeez, four barracks, two refineries, one war factory. That is going to be one game plan. No. No. This is just greatly confusing me right now. It's looking like he's preparing an all-in rush, but at the same time, he's building a service depot, plus a lateish light vehicle. So, this is standard play, but with four barracks. I'm not sure if he has the economy to sustain this right now. It's on five harvesters, as sir. But GG's on three only. H ah, he's getting his classic light tank combo prepped. The good old combo meal. Light tank plus infantry. Infantry as the side. Light tank the main dish. Not really. Sir is floating quite a considerable amount. Okay, this is good for for GG now because this um um blowing up the barrels has kind of clued him into the position of the army. As I'm not getting tired to stress, sound in operate is directional and it is heard from everywhere. So, this has been audible to everybody. Huh. The movement has been revealed. There is going to be an attack move onto the base. Is he ready? Is sir ready for this? I don't think he is. That is going to be the power lines cut. And we're going to take a look. Oh, he's on low power already. He only had two power three power plants. That is terrible. And now the war factory is under siege. It's like, oh my goodness. There is no MCV coming out now. Oh, this is a dire situation. Great push thus far. And the heavy tanks are getting eaten up as well. They're getting chewed through. Oh my goodness. The army of GG standing tall. There were just two scattered the forces of Sir that is. And as a result, the entire main base gets wiped in one fell swoop. He's sending back the harvesters. That was a missed rally point. Oh my goodness. This has been absolute and utter devastation. Light tanks trying to connect now. Not getting more value, but that's fine. He has done the damage. Oh, and blowing up the refinery as well. No. Nope. Not just yet. Oh, this is long distance mining, too. Sir had to reallocate his resources and cancel the expansion refinery. This is atrocious for him. Yeah, this game is looking very much uh on the wraps for GG. Oh my, is that going to be the 2-nil? Starting to look like it, sir. Definitely a bit under the weather. Good crushes on the roads. Uh if you don't know, on the roads you get a increased crush percentage, so never stay on the roads. That is going to be the 2n for GG. We're going to take a look at game number three in just a second. Be right back. >> All righty, we are back after these messages. And this is once more going to be played out on Crownsbury as has been evidenced by the first and first replay mess up from my side. Probably a play test on this map, huh? So, the factions this time around, Ukraine for C once more and um GG is going for Germany. yet again. Okay, this seems to be a consistent theme. So, deliberate faction picks looks to be the case and rallied. Yeah, just well Derek playing it very safe from both players. There is not going to be any more surprises coming in here. Just uh the question is when do you build the engineer? Do you go NG first as was the case for sir last game? This time around he's building a five stack first and nothing too crazy just yet. Rens always a possibility. Last game they didn't really match up, but that tends to be the case for Grenaders anyway. They usually outlive their usefulness past the 2-minute mark because then you can always expect a base defense to pop up in your face and that in turn just blows up Grenaders. Uh, by the way, did anybody play the original campaigns in the original Balance and uh found out by accident that um uh about the range glitch? So, for those of you who don't know, uh in the originals, Grenaders could achieve infinite range with a glitch. You would essentially control fire the ground and just the moment that the animation went off, you click on your desired target even if it is two screens away and then the grenade lobs two screens away. The only downside with this is that you must lead your shots because they uh kind of I think they overshoot their targets a little bit and the farther this goes the more it scales. So you always had to basically um do a little guessing game, little artillery guessing game. That was one of my preferred methods of cheesing the Soviet campaign. Just build a bunch of grins, build a bunch of walls because the AI didn't know how to handle walls and then just control fire your way to victory with grenaders from infinite range. That was the easiest way of clearing maps on hard mode. You hard mode was not that hard in red alert. I'm also in the process of um you know as as little as I get to actually play games rather than cause them sometimes I get like half an hour in the evening to play um video games uh when my wife is asleep uh which is like the case in 10% of days and then I have started clearing the campaigns on hard mode and um in the remaster collection that is and if you don't know the remaster the collection has um added balancing to both games. In Red Alert, the hard mode is super easy. It's just, you know, stock standard. In Tabiran Dawn, Tabiran Dawn was never meant to be um to have a hard mode in the first place. So, there they just souped up the uh damage values and the health values for enemy units. And the Tiberian uh Dawn campaign is absolute and utter on uh on this uh uh on the remaster collection. If you want to give this a try, the only way you can win is by cheese. And I've started painstakingly clear away the not campaign. It's a little better in the GDI campaign because the not campaign has GDI planes with homing firebombs just constantly blowing up your stuff whenever you get to build something. And resources are spares to begin with. You get like you get those tabby fields and then never really regrow. And the only way you can reliably win this is by cheesing with walls and then with an NG APC drop. It's like that's the way to clear 90% of the map. But even then, it is sometimes really hard to not just die immediately. Okay, this has been very similar to game one with the push from GG, but this time around, Sir should be absolutely ready. He's gotten his two APCs up. He's gotten his line of defense. I mean, this is Yeah, APC is going down, but scouting information very important here. And this time around, there should be no way in hell that Gigi takes this push. Light tanks are trying to connect. Is he going to lose a harvester though? That is going to be the big question. Oh, one harvester down. So, still a moderately successful push this time around, but getting some return kills on the rebound. GG. Answer. Uh what about the harvesters are even this time around? Good retention on the APC. Yeah. And now there's a massive army advantage out for um for sir. So this time around it's looking very good for him. He's got his conard set up. He's got the expansion lines. He's um he's economically ahead. Yeah. 5k. Even though the harvester numbers are even, he has just harvested a lot more. He's building an extra refinery here as well. So, he's in a good spot if he manages to not overcommit into rockets because that's something we've seen before. He also has three racks quote unquote only. Sounds like a lot, but in fact, it isn't. Uh, what's down there? Oh, that's an APC loaded with something. Are those rockets or are those grins? Are we? Yo, rocket drop. Beautiful. Okay, how fast is the reaction time? Oh, not fast enough. There goes the first harvester. Beautiful. Beautiful snipe. Pinpoint accuracy. And GG can't really do much here. If he sends the light tanks, just just pop out the uh the rockets and blow up the light tank in one shot in one salvo. Massive army advantage now here as well for him. Going to take a look. Yep. Only 3k, but still sizable. Sir is going for an extra conard here as well. He has figured out that Chi-Chi has figured out. So, good game though. I've got to say the um the APC drop was really really nice. Well executed and retains his units as well. Man, that's a lot of light tanks. Chi-Chi is definitely the light tank guy for the time being. kind of a replacing gatekeeper. I would say replacing the gap that gatekeeper left when he exited the community without much fanfare, but you know that's the case for many RTS players. Ooh, GG is moving out his conard. This could be very dire situation, but the armor lines are not that great for sir. He's only down to two APCs. I don't know. This could still be loable despite the army advantage. Depends on how far forward how much too far forward the light tanks are. He's moving back behind his economy all lines. I don't like that. Also should leave some scouts behind. You should always keep tabs on your enemy movement. This is basically an all-in move. Oh, beautiful. The rocket drop is back at it and has sniped yet another. And see how important those scouts are. If he manages to hold this push now, he is going to be in an absolutely golden spot. The light tanks are going in. Oh, good crushes. Very good crushes. Let's see how much damage can inflict. The armor is down, but so far no significant losses for sir whatsoever. I think he will be able to hold easily. The armor alliance still standing strong. On the other side, the rockets have cleared up the expansion light or the main base economy rather. And yeah, GG. That is the 2-1 sir on his way to a redemption arc. Beautifully played, beautifully executed. And commend those heroes. I think they sacked three harvesters and two refineries. So, more than that even considering the vetery. Yeah, this was a beautiful play start to finish. With that, we're going to wrap things up for this week. We're going to be back next week and I'm also going to be back with some Rise of the Reds. So, keep tabs on that one as well. For now, thank you for watching. We're going to keep tabs on those players with great interest. I'll see you next time. Five aces out and uh stay safe of any beaver infestations. Battle >> control terminated.
