Kouri Richins is accused of killing her husband by overdosing him with fentanyl. She wrote a children's book about grief and was on a book tour shortly before her arrest. She also has been writing accounts of what happened, or what she wants to say happened in jail. The "Walk The Dog" letter has become a central point in the prosecution so far. Her trial began in February 2026 and concluded with a verdict on March 16 2026. Sentencing is pending.
