Borderlands: DeadECHOs is Gearbox’s first scripted narrative podcast — a darkly comedic drama set in the chaotic Borderlands universe. It follows Watts, a disenchanted DAHL Echo Operator, who supplements his meager pay by sifting through undeliverable ECHO Logs, and selling the secrets inside to the highest bidder. When Junie, a curious stranger with big ideas and a secretive past, gets him out of a jam, the two strike up an unlikely partnership. As Junie injects a daring Robin Hood twist into Watts’ amateur criminal enterprise, their ECHO-brokering operation draws attention from ruthless mercenaries, violent outlaws, and DAHL’s deadly corporate hit squad lead by power hungry rogue executive, Vivian Proctor. With a little too much heat on the operation our team ventures out into the wider Borderlands universe where they encounter fan favorite characters (Ellie, Earl, Hammerlock, Wainright, Tannis, Claptrap), and visit familiar locales (Eden-6, Moxxi’s Casino, Kairos). Throughout their adventures, Watts realizes Junie’s unwavering kindness and strength are the key to breaking free of his stagnant life on Pandora. Similarly, Junie discovers Watts’ radical acceptance and infectious vibes are what she needs to stop running and reconcile with her dark past. Also, there’s a big muscle man named Beefhole, and a little robot named Corn on the Cob!

…And scene. Welcome to Dead ECHOs last stand, funfans. It’s all come down to this! What’s this, you might ask? Well, Petula Clark put it best when she sang “Everyone has a song that belongs to their life. That will go on and on through the years of their life…” Okay, she rhymed life with life but it’s still a great tune and it reflects on how a special person can transform an ordinary existence into something meaningful. So with that in mind, prep your butt for a big blow out, some awesome auditory rat-ta-tat-tats, a pile of highly erotic slow-cooked meats, and a surprise gooning. And always remember to take care of each other. You don’t have to do the hard stuff alone. —---------------------------------------- CAST Joel Watson: Watts, Walla April Johnson: Junie, Walla Amanda Shuckman: Customer Service Bot, Persistent Oteria Colleen Clinkebeard: Mother David Wald: Amadeus, Wainwright Jakobs Elisa Melendez: Marisol, Walla J.
