In this Link's Awakening walkthrough, we're serving up the COMPLETE, 100% guide to a truly underrated title in The Legend of Zelda series in its first entry on the Game Boy. Specifically, this is the Link's Awakening DX walkthrough, but as I mention in the intro, outside of the Color Dungeon and short photo sidequest, this walkthrough can largely be applied to any version of the game. This being the 100% Link's Awakening walkthrough, we'll show you where to get all the heart pieces and secret seashells, not to mention the best and most efficient route through the entire game. Blaze covers every item found on Koholint Island, Gary's got tips for taking down every boss and mini boss, and Fluff has a bunch of interesting facts about this game, including its background, comparisons between versions, and glitches and hacks! In the first part of this Link's Awakening walkthrough, we walk you through the first quarter of the game, including the village and beach, the Tail Cave, Moblin Hideout, Bottle Grotto, the five gold leaves, the first five heart pieces and 13 secret seashells, and more! Fluff also shares some facts about the game like how it began as a straight Game Boy port of Link to the Past and that it was influenced by Twin Peaks!
