[Music] Diz nerds make some noise. Yes, nothing wrong with the title of Disney nerd. I'm a proud Disney nerd myself. Own it. And thank you live studio audience for being here making so much noise and for definitely being real and not artificially pumped in. Welcome into episode 127 of Disney Jeopardy. As always, I am your host Brian Perry. Thank you so very much for joining me. I am thrilled today because 1989's Little Mermaid will be a part of this show. That's because it won the final Jeopardy wheel spin a week ago in this category focused on The Little Mermaid today. I'll be able to tell who out there is a true stand of the 1989 soundtrack. And who out there is a phony? Yeah, I'm looking for you phonies out there claiming, "Oh, I love The Little Mermaid. I love Part of Your World. Kiss the girl." H, it's the best. And then when I ask you to fill in the blank to finish off the lyrics and you can't do so, D nerd my sorry, got a little carried away. Anyway, let's take a look at the board today in episode 127 to see all five categories that you'll be playing. First up, it's the lyric mermaid. Huh, the Lyric Mermaid. Not bad. Not Not the best, but it's something. The second category you'll be playing, Quick Bites. That's all about places that characters go to get a bite to eat in a film. I wanted it to just be fast food restaurants that appear in Disney and Pixar films, but I couldn't find it, so I just called it quick bites. The third category you'll be playing Fire Muffins. The fourth category is your theme park category of the week. I promised it a week ago. It's Disneyland turned 70. I'm a little late. Should have done it two weeks ago, but I did not. Disneyland fans, this one is for you guys. And the fifth and final category, your Club DJ member category of the week is quoting Walt. Check out the results in the Club DJ poll this week. The closest one we've had in recent memory. Walt Disney quotes picks up the win, which is wild because we've done a Walt Disney quote category in 2025. But the Club DJ members love the boss, understandably so. Stage Productions from a movie/show is your runner up again. Poor Lindsay comes in last. And with that, it is now time for the easiest round of the game. It's time for some cupcakes. 200 point clues are headed your way, beginning with the lyric mermaid. Thingabobs, I've got blank. Well, those lyrics are from The Little Mermaid's most popular song. I would argue Part of Your World. If you knew that, you might know that the correct answer is 20. >> I got 20. >> Let's get a quick bite for 200. Be sure to stop by Flo's V8 Cafe for some fine motor oil next time you're driving down this road. I'm talking about the one from the film Cars, not not the one that you can actually visit in California Adventure. Well, if you're going to Flo's V8 Cafe, you're stopping in Radiator Springs. And last I checked, the only road that goes right through the heart of Radiator Springs is Route 66. >> Never need a map again. Thank you. >> How about something to drink? Stop it. Floss V8 Cafe. Finest fuel on Route 66. >> Yeah, we just topped off. >> Fire burning on the dance floor. It's the 200 point clue from the category of fire. Fire and Ash is the title to an upcoming third film in this multi-billion dollar movie franchise. It's the little film franchise that just won't quit. And quite frankly, why would you quit when the first two films in your franchise eachclipsed over two billion bucks? Only one film franchise has done that. The correct answer is Avatar. [Music] [Applause] Let's go to the happiest place on earth. It's Disneyland for its 70th birthday. Walt Disney kicked off the Disneyland TV special on opening day by appearing on screen for the first time riding this attraction. Not only was he riding it, but he was also serving as the engineer as the Disneyland Railroad pulled into the station at Main Street. >> Hello, Walt. Hello, Governor. >> How the run go? Oh, fine, fine. The governor had her around through Frontier Land and then Fred Gertie there, he took her around. I picked her up and brought her in. >> Here comes more Walt Disney fun. It's the quoting Walt category for two. If you can blank it, you can blank it. The answer here is dream and do. If you can dream it, you can do it. The cupcake round is complete. We now move on to the 400point round in this episode 127. It's time for The Little Mermaid. Don't underestimate the power of blank blank. The lyrics come from the villain song in The Little Mermaid sung by Ursula. Poor unfortunate souls. What does Ursula say? Don't underestimate the power of body language. >> And don't underestimate the importance of body language. >> You know what? It turns out Ursula was right because obviously Ariel does not have the ability to speak to Eric for pretty much the rest of the film. But >> you'll have your looks. Your pretty face. >> Her pretty face and body language did the job. Here comes quick bites for four. The Supernova Burger and Mega Gulp are two items you can pick up during your next visit to this legendary Pixar ery. It's got to be the most popular food destination in any Pixar film, right? Maybe not. Maybe Gustau's has a beat. The answer here I'm looking for, though, is Pizza Planet. >> Great idea, Woody. I like your thinking. You are clear to enter. Welcome to >> onto fire for four. The name of the lead fire character in elemental. Who is Ember? >> Ember. Oh, I'm so excited to finally meet you. Do we hug or wave or don't want to put you out? There's a great big beautiful clue shining at the end of my sentence. It's Disneyland for four. The original plans for the Dumbo attraction had guests riding in elephants that were this color. So, while Disneyland was being built, the original plan was to always have a Dumbo attraction, but similar to the way there's only one Mickey Mouse, there's only one Dumbo, right? So, how are you going to have an attraction with a bunch of different Dumbos if there's only one of the famous flying elephant? Originally, the attraction was supposed to be filled with just pink elephants like the ones from the drunk sequence that our boys Timothy Q Mouse and Dumbo experience in the film. That's right. The answer is pink. Everyone was going to ride around in a pink elephant. And then as we got closer and closer to the opening of Disneyland, Walt and the Imagineers said, "Well, maybe we shouldn't focus on the drunk scene from the film and let just everybody experience riding on top of Dumbo. Here comes your final clue of the 400s. It's quoting Walt. All your dreams can come true if you have the courage." Blank blank them. The answer is all your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them. 10 clues down. We're moving on to the 600 point round. Now, here we go, Little Mermaid fans. The Noot play the blank, the Karp play the blank. You got to listen to Sebastian closely. He tells you that the noot play the flute and the carp play the harp. We're on to quick bites for the third time. Gyro or Euro 22 debates the pronunciation of the Greek specialty while walking through the street in this film. In New York, we like to call it street meat. Funny name. That's the uh food you get from vendors on the streets of New York. There's no guarantee that Joe Gardner or 22 got the gyro from a street vendor, but they're walking through the street eating it. Correct answer is soul. >> I'm telling you, Joe, it's pronounced yero. >> Yeah, but in New York we call them gyros. It's Greek. >> Now, I got in a fight with our committees about this. He said it's >> yo-yo. >> YOLO. >> Sergio. >> I miss that guy. >> Here comes your halfway point of the game. It's fire for six. The name of the sequel to Planes. The answer is Planes Fire and Rescue. >> Hey, >> shut the hanger door. >> Awesome. >> Here's a fact that I love. It comes from the 600point clue for Disneyland turns 70. Sammy Davis Jr. bumped into Frank Sinatra while riding this attraction on opening day in 1955. And when I say bumped into, I don't mean metaphorically. I mean he literally bumped into Frank Sinatra while riding this attraction. Correct answer is Autotopia. >> Frank Sinatra. Hello Franco. Who's driving? Frankie. >> My son. Yes. Don't hit this manavis. >> Look who hit who. Sammy Davis Jr. Hello, Sammy. And where is Gail? >> We finish off the 600s with quoting Walts. There's really no secret to our approach. We keep blank blank. Correct answer here is there's really no secret about our approach. We keep moving forward. Speaking of moving forward, we now move forward uh to the 800s. It's the Lyric Mermaid for the fourth time. And then there is the youngest in her musical debut, a seventh little sister. We're presenting her to you to sing a song Sebastian wrote her voices like a blank. These lyrics are from the most forgotten song in The Little Mermaid, I'd argue, the Daughters of Triton song that comes at the start of the film. As we look at the lyrics, a seventh little sister, we're presenting her to you to sing a song. Sebastian wrote, "Her voices like a hello, Belle." A different kind of bell, but Belle. >> Sebastian wrote her voice. Her voice is like a bell. Is that a compliment? I don't if I'm I'm singing. I don't know if someone if I want someone saying, "Wow, Brian, voice is like a bell." What kind of bell? Anyway, let's move on. Quick bites for eight. Home to more than just food. This corporation got its name when the company By Yogurt bought the company large industries. You find them plastered all over Wall-E. The answer is by Enlarge. By and large got its start as a maker of frozen yogurt and it acquired Large Industries, which seemed like a natural fit. The newly combined corporate entity of By and Large was formed. >> He's on fire. It's the 800point clue in the fire category. Hellfire from Hunchback of Notraam immediately follows this song sung by Quasimoto. Now, technically in the film, Hellfire does come right after this song, but if you look in the soundtrack, it's actually the same song. Doesn't really make sense. It's two completely different songs. They sound very different, but the answer I'm looking for is Heaven's Light. I swear it must be heaven's law. >> Time for Disneyland for 800. This Fantasy Land ride operating since 1955 is actually older than Disneyland itself, having been built in 1922. The attraction was actually built in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, then made its way up north to Toronto before Walt Disney purchased it and then took off some of the animals and replace them all with horses. Correct answer is King Arthur carousel. Final clue before the 1000s brings us to quoting Walt. The most important part of our Florida project, in fact, the heart of everything we'll be doing in Disney World will be our blank blank blank blank blank. Oh, it makes me so upset. It makes me so upset. What is the heart of the Florida project? Does anyone know? Anyone Anyone want to guess? It was the city of Epcot, which obviously did not come to be, which keeps me up every single night. If we fill in the blanks, though, here's a little fun tidbit. We get experimental prototype city of tomorrow. Now, if you said experimental prototype community of tomorrow, I'll let it fly because I think Walt just misspoke in that moment. I'll play you the clip right now. But the most exciting, by far the most important part of our Florida project. In fact, the heart of everything we'll be doing in Disney World will be our experimental prototype city of tomorrow. We call it Epcot. >> And then after saying city, he repeats himself and changes it to community. >> Spelled E P O T. experimental prototype community of tomorrow. Here it is in larger scale. >> So the actual quote he says city, but if you said community, that's fine. We'll let it fly. 20 clues are down and six remain, including Final Jeopardy. But before we get there, you know what time it is. It is time. Oh, soundtrack. Spotlighting part of the game, the 10,00 point round. Hit it. This 10,00 point round is presented by the Bunny Eclipse Shop on Disney Jeopardy.com. Go and scoop up your Wanted t-shirt as we yearn for the day of the fastpasses. You can also pick up Zero Bothers Given. I've got some exciting news. For the first time in 2025, I'm adding a new shirt to the site. Not going to say what it is yet, but I'll give you three words to give you a hint. Brian's terrible drawings. I think you'll like the shirt. Here we go. 1,00 point round gets underway with the final clue from the Lyric Mermaid. Now's your moment. Yaya. Floating in a blue lagoon. Ya. Boy, you better blank. Blank blank. Correct answer is do it soon. [Music] >> Here comes your final clue from the quick bite category. The name of the fast food establishment in Onward that serves second breakfast. [Music] What is Burgershshire? Let's finish off the fire category for a thousand. This scene titled The Firebird Suite can be seen when watching this Disney film. The answer is Fantasia 2000. Here comes Disneyland turned 70 for the final time. This opening day attraction became the first Disneyland ride to close permanently after less than a year in operation. [Music] If you want to be specific, it was actually less than 2 months, I believe, when the Tomorrowland boats closed. They became the Phantom Boats. Not sure why they went with the term Phantom Boats. So, there's nothing really scary about them, but the Tomorrowland/Fanmboats were the first attraction to shut down after being an opening day attraction. Final clue on the board before final Jeopardy brings us to quoting Walts. Adults are only blank blank up anyway. The answer is kids grown. Adults are only kids grown up anyway. Love that quote because it really is a kid in all of us. All right, 25 clues down, one remains, and it just so happens to be the one clue that will determine how proud of yourself you will be for the next seven days. It's final Jeopardy time. But what will the final Jeopardy category be? Well, it's time to spin that wheel. Wheel. All right, it's time to spin the wheel and find out what Final Jeopardy is all about. [Music] Is that the most underrated Disney film of all time? I spy. It sure is. It's The Great Mouse Detective. The hidden gem from the mid80s will be the focus of Final Jeopardy here. and one of your five categories next week. So, make your wages based on how much you remember about Bassel of Baker Street. And time is up. I love The Grey Mouse Detective. It's so good. It's a quick watch. I think it's like 75 minutes or something. So, be sure to check it out if you haven't done so yet. It's on Disney Plus and it is so underrated. I love it. Here comes your final clue of episode 127. This famous residence is the location where the robotic mouse queen announces Professor Ratigan as her new royal consort. Good luck. [Music] And time is up. It is a real life location found in England. That of course is where The Great Mouse Detective takes place. The correct answer here is Buckingham Palace. >> To Buckingham Palace. Thank you, Your Majesty. And now, as your new royal consort, I have a few slight suggestions. And that does it for episode 127 of Disney Jeopardy. Thanks so much for watching. Club DJ members, you guys knocked it out of the park last week with all the voting in the poll. Just 3 percentage points. Look at that. Was the difference that put quoting Walt into this episode rather than stage productions. But guess what? Sage Productions does get another chance this week in the brand new poll. So, be sure to go vote right now to determine if it makes it into episode 128 alongside the Great Mouse Detective. Also, Club DJ members, if you have a category suggestion, please leave a comment either on this video or on the poll itself with something you'd like to see in a future episode. I love scanning the comments and picking out ones that I think would fit right in. Now you know the deal. If you like what you saw, do me a favor, subscribe, click that bell icon. Hello, bell. This way you're notified every time we come out with brand new content. I've been your host, Brian Perry. I'll see you in a week for episode 128 featuring Great Mouse Detective. Till then, >> bye-bye.
