It's the little details in music that are often times forgotten. My "RECREATED" series emphasizes on this. We often forget that music is composed of many little pieces that sound together in perfect harmony. I've been wanting to recreate this soundtrack for a very long time, and I finally had the time and equipment to make it happen. This soundtrack by the end of Clannad episode 9 marks the first time in my life that I burst into tears watching anime. It's the first soundtrack which made me realize just how powerful Clannad is, and how music can really squeeze those tear glands without mercy. This soundtrack in particular is one that may heal one's soul. I finished the entirety of Clannad in 2013, and I still teared up when adding the brief overlay at 1:49 during post-production. Best arc of the entire season 1 IMO. ---------- About the song: "Sora ni Hikaru" is a song composed and arranged by Magome Togoshi for Clannad VN in 2004. It's part of Clannad Original Soundtrack album disk 2, track #7. In the TV anime series, the soundtrack is first played for the first time at the end of episode 9, the end of Fuko's arc. There's a vocal version of the song in Sorarado image album at track #6. ---------- About the project: This project consists of 70 audio & video tracks, and is my lengthiest recreation project to date at nearly 6 minutes. All the angles were shot in 1080p @ 50 fps, and is a combined 16 hours of work from start to finish over the course of 2 days. All of the sounds you hear were generated by Roland RD-800's sound engine and recorded directly into USB in 16-bit WAV format. None of the sounds from the original soundtrack is used. The audio files were than transported into the PC and imported into VEGAS. This project was built and assembled track by track, instrument by instrument, part by part. No two tracks are identical, with each and every one carefully mixed. This kind of project is something I can only do during June - August time frame. ---------- As much as I enjoy making contents like this, it requires time, energy, and effort.
