It features one of the most famous statues to be found in Bonaventure: Corinne Elliott Lawton, carved in 1879 by the famous Palermo sculptor, Benedetto Civiletti. The 29 year-old Lawton was originally buried in Laurel Grove and then later, her remains exhumed by her father and moved to Bonaventure. While Giuliano is a preacher (and grandson of funeral directors), his new song Fade Away is a heavy alt-noir anthem for the seeker and the cynic alike. It navigates the gritty tension between internal demons and the inevitable journey toward the grave. With a sonic weight mastered by legendary engineer George Graves (Alice Cooper, Rush, Peter Gabriel, U2), the track moves like a freight train through a landscape of fractured belief and dark resolution. Atmospheric, raw, and unapologetically heavy, "Fade Away" is a philosophical dive into the shadows of the human experience. Lose yourself in the darkness and profound depth of Fade Away and its powerful lyric (below). LYRIC I’ve been looking lately Upward toward the sky I’ve been looking dreamlike In my lover’s eyes I've been looking for you In my prayers, I cry I've been smoky loco But I just can't seem to fly I've been having visions In my childlike dreams I've been looking for you My beloved queen I've turned to religion And I've been living clean I've been looking for you there But it just ain't what it seems Oh, oh yes, I'm digging in the ground Oh, oh, guess they'll put me there someday Then I'll fade away My life is like a window I see it through my pain I've seen you and you've seen me But I still don't know your name I've had my great pleasure And I've had some great pain I've heard you calling him to me But the feeling is just the same Oh, oh yes, I'm digging in the ground Oh, oh, guess they'll put me there someday Then I'll fade away (not fade away) I’ll fade away My faith is like an eggshell In it, there are cracks Your yoke’s too heavy, and you start to levy It's trust in you I lack I am like a freight train You are like the tracks You take me here, and you take me there But I can't find my way back Oh, oh yes, I'm digging in the ground Oh, oh, guess they'll put me there someday Then I'll fade away
