This promotional video was dated the first half of 1991 and was intended for the future promotion of a remake of the classic arcade game Berzerk for the Sega Mega Drive console in Japan. However, due to the unexpected cancellation of the game's development, the video never got on the air, remaining recorded on several dozen VHS tapes, later transferred to Data East and Sega archives. The exact reasons for the cancellation of the project are unknown.
