Trump’s Republican Midterm Convention flops with low turnout, empty promises, and GOP behavior that is just straight up weird (we’re looking at you, Tim Scott). Michael Kosta dives into the highlights, including Trump’s pledge to give out $5,000 "dividends" if the GOP wins the House and Senate, the president's unhelpful roast of Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton, and an onstage gavel that is just… too big. Plus, Desi Lydic hypes up the convention to Kosta, and even throws in some hand stuff. #DailyShow #GOP #Trump #Texas #TimScott 0:00 - Republicans Try to Pull in Voters with a Midterm Convention 2:02 - Tim Scott Gets Weird at Trump's Convention 3:24 - Ken Paxton Tries His Stand-Up Routine in Dallas 4:50 - President Trump Promises $5,000 if Republicans Win the Midterms 7:36 - Desi Lydic Weighs in on the Midterm Convention Subscribe to The Daily Show: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwWhs_6x42TyRM4Wstoq8HA/?sub_confirmation=1 Follow The Daily Show: Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheDailyShow Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thedailyshow Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thedailyshow Stream full episodes of The Daily Show on Paramount+: http://www.paramountplus.com/thedailyshow Follow Comedy Central: Twitter: https://twitter.com/ComedyCentral Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ComedyCentral Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/comedycentral About The Daily Show: Jon Stewart and The Best F**king News Team host The Daily Show, an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program analyzing the biggest stories in news, politics, and culture through a sharp, satirical lens.
