In our book “Fundamentals of Software Architecture” Neal Ford and I created star ratings for each of the common architectural styles based on various architectural characteristics. Since then we’ve discovered that there are many ways of interpreting these star ratings. In this lesson I show how to interpret the star ratings as risk areas, and show some ways of mitigating that risk within certain architectural styles.
