The machine city just threw a massive curveball at us! Welcome back to Episode 3 of our Cogmind playthrough, and today we are learning the hard way that choices have consequences in Complex 0b10 as we run headfirst into the mysterious Zion faction. In this episode, our heavy tank build gets put to the absolute test. While trying to survive the transition into the mid-game factory floors, we trigger an encounter with Zion's specialized bots. Instead of our usual strategy of locking down narrow single-tile chokepoints and using Hardlight Generators to shrug off basic grunts, the unique mechanics of the Zion faction completely disrupt our energy grids and overwhelm our defenses. We have to make a desperate, frantic push to rebuild our chassis from scrap metal before our central core gets completely vaporized. Have you interacted with the Zion faction in your runs? Do you usually try to ally with them, or do you end up accidentally blowing up their units like I did? Let me know your best recovery strategies in the comments below!
