The Druid arrives in Ogham with no memory of who he was, and Path Of Exile 2 makes you play all the way to the end of the Ritual endgame before it tells you why. This is the full story and lore of the Druid in Path Of Exile 2. Hinekora reads every exile who reaches her. The Druid's reading is a warning: haunted by loss, seeking what was taken, afraid of what he might find. Many hours later, the same man walks through the threshold at Caer Tarth and says four words no other class gets to say. In between sits a wife he never stops naming, an enemy he recognizes on sight in Act 1, a lineage of border wardens recorded only in lineage gem flavor text, and a grief arc buried in the leveling journey that nobody notices while it is happening to them. Most of what makes this character work is invisible from inside a single playthrough. You hear the Druid's lines and nobody else's. Una greets every other exile as a stranger and greets him as an honor. The other Exiles meet a stranger at Freythorn. Aoife runs a briefing for everybody else but calls him love in her first breath.
