Currently Playing: Fourth Wall- OST (SoundSmith Compositions)

This is the full soundtrack to Fourth Wall, a short story that I wrote for my Senior Capstone in high school. I acutally wrote this with the purpose of writing a score to go along with it, so the writing itself isn't that good. I just needed a framework to write the music around. That said, I think it turned out fairly well. Here is a short description of each track: Intro (0:00 - 2:18): This main track introduces the melody for the two protagonists, which is heard throughout the rest of the score. If this were a film, it would be played in the opening credits. The Assassin Strikes (2:19 - 3:40): This track is not so much music as it is atmospheric. It would make much more sense if it were converted into some form of visual media. I was experimenting with some atmospheric suspense. Alternates (3:41 - 7:06): This track starts when the alternate forms of the main characters begin to explain the conspiracy that the story centers around. You will frequently hear the melody from Track 1 throughout this track. Greene (7:07 - 7:58): This track introduces the melody for Greene, the main villain of the story. This melody is heard throughout the rest of the score. Fight the Assassin (7:59 - 9:53): This track plays over the fight scene between the Assassin and the main characters. It does not match up to events in the book, but does play both melodies (Greene and Original) at the same time. Never Existed (9:54 - 12:33): This is at the climax of the story, where the main characters confront Greene. It is at this point (around 11:07) that they discover that the never actually existed, but were characters in a story, written only for the entertainment of an audience. End Credits (12:34 - 14:21): This track was written as a follow-up to Track 6. It doesn’t have a chapter to go with it, but if the story was made into a film, this would play over the end credits. As always, any comments or critiques are welcomed, as well as suggestions as to what I should try next. I'm thinking of arranging the worship song, "Great I Am" for orchestra.
