Traxxas Summit 1/10 "Brushed and Brushless"

hey guys what is going on it is rc knockout and i am back with another video now if you're new to the channel my name is nolan in today's video i have got my traxxas summon out this is the traxxas summit running the rc four-wheel drive 40 series and they are mounted on some axial bead lock wheels i am traveling for work i am in the beautiful state of washington let me go ahead get her turned on then we're gonna jump right in this video already i think we can crawl up over this it's downed tree [Music] oh yeah no problemo this definitely has some current to it too let's keep on going i'll to do a launch i'm in the second gear i got all the discs unlocked ready for launch guys one two three go nice gotta put that on slo-mo [Applause] [Applause] bring her down this little ridge right here nice got some more boulders to try to climb up everything's so wet too it's so damp out [Music] check out that flex [Music] we're going as slow as possible searching for grip bring it this way alrighty here we go check out the headlights on the summit is that not awesome all righty bring it down right here keep on going that way i have all the diffs locked up right now and i still have her in the first gear the crawling gears [Music] around this little [Music] tree let me get in front of her maybe we can bring it right here go up over this log and up that that's gonna be the goal so let's try it out the steering is definitely compromised with the differentials locked up though come on there we go all right now turning her back to the left probably gonna have to do like a two or three-point turn [Applause] yes all right this is deceivingly steep and very loose this is really pushing the limit of the summit guys i don't think there's gonna be enough weight on the front end oh come on dick and claw maybe get him claw we can do this i think let me get on the other side of it because that's where you can really see this tire right here starting to dig in ah crap nice success this way i don't know what all this is over here but we shall see how about another launch with the traxxas summit this time on gravel are you guys ready get it she's not a speed demon but she has a decent amount of speed when you have it in the second gear oh tumbler gotta get her flip back over [Music] and there we go success back down nice did you see that air guys i need to put that on slow motion nice that time she actually made it and that actually wasn't that uh that wasn't that big of a run-up she actually clawed her way up this let's switch her back into the first gear get up over this oh yeah this is tricky i don't know if i should have gone that way am i i might go get out nice let me catch up to it it's kind of cool we got these uh big tubes we can go ahead and run through ah i think we can make it up right here you put her in first gear there we go up and out summit is such a fun machine really it's one of a kind there's no other brand that has anything like the summit traxxas needs to come out with a version too give this video a like guys if you agree with me there needs to be a version too i think there needs to be there's definitely some improvements that can be made and especially if they made a censored brushless version of this censored brushless summit i think they'd sell a lot i think a lot of people want to get their hands on one of these then with just a little more speed because brush they're kind of sluggish i mean they have a little bit of speed to them uh in the second gear but it doesn't compare to like something like a brushless e revo or anything like that alrighty i've got a new set of lipo packs uh installed so i swapped out the other ones because it did reach uh low voltage mode uh so this time i have some 5200 milliamp i'm still running four cell there so they're 5200 milliamp for uh two cell packs and now we can do a little bit more high-speed stuff since we have a fresh set of packs in so how about a launch wow that's top speed right there not bad that's probably getting up to like 20 maybe bringing her back oh she's furious not a handling machine especially with those tires fly bikes that's topped out right there probably 20 20 maybe 22. oh you can't cut too sharp you cut too sharp with these tires it rolls on those side walls and then it flips i'm gonna go back to that jump maybe get actually let's get a slow motion shot of the thing launching and then i want to get a slow motion and maybe some more video of me jumping that uh hill over there that was pretty cool because i know you guys love jumping as much as i do [Music] uh and back in the woods we go there we go [Applause] oh no literally push that stick off of it i was wedged right up against the uh in the fender well this thing can conquer anything unstoppable i i don't know if i'd call it unstoppable but it's a pretty sweet rig if you have a summit let me know what your experience is do you love it do you hate it is there stuff you wish was better on it is there stuff that you wish they would change just let me know if you have a summit and what you think of it all right i think we're going to leave her in the second gear we're going to jump her off this and back up it nice that was a good one [Music] [Applause] oh [Music] oh that handled that pretty nice actually could have gone way worse all right guys we're gonna jump it right off of here and i'm gonna try to get a shot of it landing so here we go full speed on throttle nice [Applause] there with the diffs locked up she can make it up it from way back there let's roll onto the throttle all right now pin ah guys you know what happened you hit low voltage mode and this is my second pack that's the thing the packs don't last super long when you're bassing around like i was over there and through the woods and doing a bunch of jumping between the two packs i probably got 25 minutes run time between two uh two sets of 2s packs which isn't terrible but i wish it lasted a little longer because it's so much fun alrighty guys this is probably going to be the end of the video it is actually starting to rain a little bit more but if you did enjoy the video make
