Days later, I attempted to fix it, having no experience with opening up a console. I followed a guide, and it took multiple hours, but after I finished, I realized the disc drive wasn't working. It turns out that I somehow messed up one of the ribbon cables, and unbeknownst to me at the time, I didn't fully plug in one of the other ones. Weeks later, I finally bought a new ribbon cable and plugged the other one in, and the rest is history!
