Watch the official music video for “Supermassive Black Hole” by Muse, the lead single from their landmark 2006 album Black Holes and Revelations. One of the band’s most groundbreaking hits, “Supermassive Black Hole” blends heavy guitar riffs, funky disco grooves, and falsetto vocals to explore the irresistible pull of intense attraction and obsession. Featuring Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard, the song pushed Muse into bold new sonic territory. Its iconic music video, directed by Floria Sigismondi, features the band performing in a surreal, mask-filled room while dancers in animal heads move around them, bringing the track's hypnotic and otherworldly energy to life. Released as a single in 2006, “Supermassive Black Hole” reached No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart and became a massive international hit, gaining widespread global fame after featuring prominently in the hit film Twilight. The song remains one of Muse’s signature recordings, alongside alternative rock classics like “Uprising,” “Starlight,” “Knights of Cydonia,” “Time Is Running Out,” and “Plug In Baby.” Black Holes and Revelations marked a pivotal evolution in Muse's career, fusing space-rock, electronic funk, and symphonic rock. Featuring hits like “Starlight,” “Knights of Cydonia,” and “Map of the Problematique,” the album earned critical acclaim and established Muse as one of the world's premier stadium rock bands.
