A judge declared a mistrial in the high-profile case against Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict. Both prosecutors and Clancy’s own defense team acknowledge that she killed her three young children inside the family’s home in January 2023 before attempting to take her own life. Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan were found with exercise bands around their necks. Prosecutors argued that Clancy intentionally strangled her children. But her defense maintained that she was suffering from severe postpartum depression and psychosis at the time of the killings, arguing that her mental state prevented her from understanding the wrongfulness of her actions.
