Georgia man Nicholas Kassotis is accused of killing his second wife, Mindi Mebane Kassotis, by dismembering her body into four pieces in May 2023. Prosecutors believe Kassotis was on the run with the victim after owing his first wife over $1.5 million in a divorce judgment. If found guilty, Kassotis could face up to life in prison.

On Wednesday, the trial against Nicholas Kassotis continued with testimony from Peter Hersey and Dean Glover. Hersey was a car salesman at the time of Mindi Kassotis’s death, and reports show he sold Nichols Kassotis a 2022 Ford Explorer. Dean Glover, a public works supervisor for the City of Riceboro, then took the stand. Glover was asked for surveillance video of the area leading up to where Mindi’s body was found. In that video, they were able to see a car that resembled the one Nicholas Kassotis had bought in the area near the crime scene.
